http://www.techsoupglobal.org/partners TechSoup Global partners world wide en http://www.techsoupglobal.org/node/1428 <p> World Bank Forays into Web 2.0 </p> <p> By: Kevin Lo<br /> 27 August 2008<br /> TechSoup, originally posted at <a href="http://blog.techsoup.org/node/479" title="http://blog.techsoup.org/node/479">http://blog.techsoup.org/node/479</a> </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> The <a href="http://www.worldbank.org/">World Bank</a>, perhaps better known for their highly influential role in international development, just launched a video contest <a href="http://www.worldbank.org/sdccfimcontest">Vulnerability Exposed: Social Dimensions of Climate Change</a>. <br /> <br /> They are looking for 2-5 minute videos from around the world that document how climate change is affecting the livelihoods of people in the realms of &quot;conflict, migration, the urban space, rural institutions, drylands, social policy, indigenous peoples, gender, governance, forests, and/or human rights.&quot; <br /> <br /> Although, (ironically) no cash prizes will be given, the winner will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington DC and will be invited to a series of learning and networking events, which can be even more valuable than cash alone.
