Case Study: Yothu Yindi Foundation

Yolngu Aboriginal people are empowered via programs of training, employment and cross cultural relations, including the Garma festival employing 130 people.

Beneficiary: Yothu Yindi Foundation (www.yothuyindi.org.au), an Australian charitable NGO working to eradicate unemployment in Yolngu Aboriginal communities, advocate on the needs of these communities and support broader Australian cross cultural relations.

Programs: Education, training, employment and enterprise development. It also shares knowledge and culture, thereby fostering greater understanding between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians while maintaining Yolngu cultural traditions and practices.
