The Committee for the Democratization of Information Technology (CDI) was founded in Brazil in 1995 by Rodrigo Baggio. It is now present in 8 South American countries, with the mission to promote the social inclusion of low-income communities by using Information and Communication Technologies as tools for building and exercising Citizen’s Rights. CDI is scheduled to launch the TechSoup program in November 2007.
